Tall people find a sense of belonging at Tall Tour

At a Seattle sports bar on Saturday, May 9, hundreds of tall people got to experience something rare: blending in. Tall Tour is an event in the United States for tall people. It began in summer 2025 and has gone to 19 cities, with crowds growing from 30 people in Florida to 4,000 in Orlando.

Tyler Bergantino, who started the event, said the event helps tall people because they can meet others who understand their lives. He said that at Tall Tour, you can see people your own height and even taller, even if you always thought of yourself as a giant freak.

At each event, people take photos, share advice about where to buy shoes, and talk about common problems, such as hitting their heads on door frames or feeling uncomfortable on airplanes.

In Seattle, the tallest woman and tallest man were Susan Mullendore and her son Grayson. Susan said it was special to celebrate their height together. Grayson, who is 7 feet tall (approximately 2.1 meters), said people often stare at him or take photos without asking. At Tall Tour, however, he finally felt normal. "It was so surreal to be able to have a conversation and look people in the eyes," he said.

Bergantino hopes to expand the tour worldwide, including Japan. "Everyone's walls come down, and it's like we're all one family," he said.
