Australian woman gives birth to quadruplets
A woman in Australia has given birth to quadruplets. All four babies are girls, and doctors say this kind of birth is very rare. The mother, Jenitar Sau Na'amoana, is 34 years old. She already had four children before.
The girls came from one egg that split into four. This happened naturally. The doctors say this is unusual. The chance is about one in 15 million. They think it has never happened in Australia before.
The babies were born very early, at about 28 weeks. Dr. Alexa Bendall helped care for the mother and the babies. The mother is doing well, and the babies are too.
The girls are Emily, Harriet, Catherine, and Alexa. The parents named one baby Alexa to thank the doctor.
