Experience immersive art in Kyoto

A new art exhibition in Kyoto Prefecture called “Biovortex” lets visitors become part of the art itself. Created by the famous art collective teamLab, the exhibition mixes art, technology, and nature to create an immersive experience. Opened on Oct. 7, it shows more than 50 digital artworks across 10,000 square meters, attracting visitors of all ages.

In one installation, “Morphing Continuum,” glowing spheres float in space while a sculpture rises and moves in response to people’s movements. TeamLab founder Toshiyuki Inoko says the artworks blur the line between the viewer and the art, giving an experience that feels unlike anything made before.

Visitors say the exhibition is amazing and deeply immersive. TeamLab, founded in 2001 by artists, engineers, and architects, has permanent exhibitions worldwide, including in Tokyo, New York, Singapore, and Jeddah, and draws millions of visitors each year.
