Paris Fashion Week Highlights Tuxedos, Skin, and Strong Craft in Fall 2026
Paris Fashion Week 2026 showed why Paris remains a capital of fashion with strong runway ideas and packed front rows. Collections at the fall 2026 shows were about power, craft, and the female body. The common themes were: dress with a message, dress for pleasure, and don’t be afraid to show up.
Anthony Vaccarello of Saint Laurent, who celebrates 10 years in his role, brought back the brand’s iconic “Smoking” tuxedo from the 1960s with deep necklines and long, sharp lines that were inspired by the brand’s 1960s style. He also pushed the look into daytime as he made it for his fall 2026 collection, using soft pinstripes and very light structure to show the tuxedo is not only for evening but for all day.
Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez at Loewe redefined the idea of luxury craft. Their collection featured playful ideas with raised lines in coats, soft fur that looks like a poodle, and 3D-printed materials.
Isabel Marant, the French fashion house, presented short and tight looks with very short shorts and miniskirts, while also expressing a fast-moving urban woman. The brand added energy with worn-looking denim, Mondrian-style colorblocking, and party-ready evening styles with a disco edge. Models on the runway walked in curved-heel pumps, reinforcing an energetic, social, and fun lifestyle constantly on the move.
